Riya Gote, Founder, Scriberlee

Riya Gote, a dynamic entrepreneur, content creator, personal branding coach, and motivational speaker, has etched an inspiring narrative in the world of business and empowerment. At the age of 25, Riya gained international recognition, being prominently featured in Forbes for her exceptional entrepreneurial prowess. Recognized as a young emerging women entrepreneur, her story resonated in over 70 international newspapers, catapulting her into the global spotlight. In acknowledgment of her indomitable spirit and impactful contributions, MTTV India bestowed upon Riya the esteemed title of “IRON LADY of INDIA.” As the founder of Scriberlee, a branding firm with a footprint in both Singapore and Pune, Riya continues to redefine success in the realms of content creation and personal branding.

In the vast landscape of personal branding, my journey has been a testament to the power of resilience and the pursuit of a dream. Forbes India shone a spotlight on my skillset of being a quality content writer in October 2020, an article that captured the essence of my firm’s Scriberlee’s mission — captivating global clients with quality content. Behind the accolades, however, were challenges that tested the mettle of Scriberlee and me.

In the beginning, establishing credibility was a mountain to climb. The industry was skeptical, doubting the capabilities of a budding entrepreneur. I faced scrutiny, and every client interaction felt like a battleground. To overcome this, I poured my heart into showcasing the excellence of Scriberlee. It wasn’t just about promises but about delivering a standard that spoke for itself.

As the journey continued, Bespoke Diaries penned down my story in January 2022, labelling “self-power is a superpower.” But, navigating the path to self-empowerment was a challenge in itself.

Balancing passion and practicality became a delicate dance. Empowering others through personal branding required a profound understanding of the emotional and strategic aspects of the journey. It was not just about inspiring; it was about equipping individuals with tangible tools for success. The challenge was to be both the motivator and the strategist, fostering heartfelt and effective empowerment.

The recognition as one of the Top 10 Emerging Women Entrepreneurs of the Year 2021-22 by Fame Finders was an honour, but it came with its own set of hurdles.

Breaking through gender stereotypes was an integral part of my narrative. As a woman in a traditionally male-dominated field, I faced biases, both subtle and overt. The title “THE IRON LADY OF INDIA” by MTTV India bestowed upon me was not just an accolade but a testament to breaking through barriers and proving that competence knows no gender.

Beyond the accolades and titles, my journey takes a personal turn. My personal website (https://riyagote.com) becomes a canvas where I share insights into personal branding, focusing on what I call the 4Cs: Clarity, confidence, courage, and communication.

Bridging the confidence gap becomes a crucial aspect of my mission. Empowering others goes beyond imparting expertise; it involves instilling confidence. Whether it’s resume writing, interview skills, LinkedIn optimization, course creation for coaches and mentors, email writing, or cover writing, my aim is to bridge the gap with a unique blend of empathy and strategic guidance.

My impact reaches beyond borders. Invitations from international universities become a testament to the global relevance of personal branding. My mission as a personal branding coach is clear — to train coaches, mentors, entrepreneurs, women, students, and professionals to shine in their respective spheres.

In the intricate tapestry of my journey, each challenge and hurdle is a thread woven with determination and a relentless pursuit of a dream. My experiences don’t just shape my brand; they become a symbol of resilience, empowerment, and success. Through every trial and triumph, my story echoes the belief that self-confidence is a superpower, and once you believe in yourself, the magic starts happening.

Life often takes unexpected turns, reminding us that it unfolds while we’re busy making other plans. However, not everything aligns with our carefully crafted blueprints, and that’s perfectly fine—it’s okay not to have one. I never envisioned becoming an entrepreneur, content writer and a personal branding coach; it wasn’t part of the plan. Yet, recognizing my potential, I chose to embark on this unforeseen journey, and gradually, everything fell into place.

Throughout my venture into becoming an entrepreneur, content writer and a personal branding coach, I found myself surrounded by incredible individuals who became support pillars. My family and friends supported me during challenging times, offering guidance and encouragement. Life taught me that nothing worthwhile comes effortlessly, especially when I struggled to discover the right career path. The pursuit of doing what one loves and finding success in it is a universal aspiration. Identifying my aptitude for content writing, I honed my skills and transformed my talent into a passionate pursuit. Before long, I was on the cusp of breaking through and carving my unique path.

Albert Einstein’s wisdom resonates with my experience – “If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it’s going to spend all its life believing that it’s stupid.” I learned the hard way that it’s acceptable not to excel in everything; strengths often lie in different areas. Accepting that not everyone can be pleased became a crucial realization. Instead, the key is to prioritize personal happiness by pursuing a career that brings pride and joy.

“Self-confidence is a superpower. Once you start to believe in yourself, the magic starts happening.”

This profound statement encapsulates the essence of my journey. Embracing self-confidence became the catalyst for the transformative magic in my life, as I pursued a career that not only resonates with my abilities but also brings fulfilment and pride.
